Trailing arm meaning

Trailing arm definition

Type of independent rear suspension in which the pivot axis is exactly across the vehicle, or perpendicular to the longitudinal axis. This means the wheels are always upright relative to the body and hence leaning with the body in a corner. Widely used at the rear of front-wheel-drive cars. Also see semi-trailing arm .
