1. A protective liner or sleeve that cushions noise, friction , or movement. Suspension bushings are often made from two pipes (one inside the other) with a sleeve of rubber in the space between the two pipes.2. Rubber bushings on the suspension system should be lubricated regularly.
3. A bearing for a shaft, spring shackle, piston pin, etc., of one piece construction which may be removed from the part.
