Boiling point definition

The exact temperature at which a liquid begins to boil or changes to a gas (i.e., vaporizes). The boiling point of a liquid decreases with increasing altitude, and increases with pressurization. The coolant in a modern radiator/ coolant system can be as high as 260°F (127°C). See Dry boiling point and Wet boiling point
