Anti-percolation valve meaning

Anti-percolation valve definition

A device for venting vapors from the main discharge tube, or the well, of a carburetor . The vented vapors are not released into the atmosphere, but rerouted into an evaporative emission canister where they are stored until the next time the car is started. Thus it provides a richer mixture needed for starting. Also see Percolation
