Clutch disc definition
A spinning plate located at the end of the driveshaft facing the engine flywheel and covered with a friction material such as asbestos . When the clutch is engaged, the disc is squeezed between the flywheel and the clutch pressure plate , causing the engine and the transmission to turn at the same speed .
