That point in an object, if through which an imaginary pivot line were drawn, would leave the object in balance. In the vehicle, the closer the weight to the ground, the lower the center of gravity. Cornering, acceleration , and other forces act upon the vehicle's center of gravity, thus affecting body roll and other handling characteristics.
